Iris Telehealth Launches Women’s Behavioral Health Solution For Lifestage Support

Iris Telehealth launched its Integrated Women’s Behavioral Health solution, embedding therapy and psychiatry into care for patients navigating fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, and other life stages.

Surveying more than 1,000 women, the telepsychiatry provider identified a significant gap in mental health support.. While most respondents said their healthcare providers understand how daily responsibilities impact their mental health, only 30% have received clear guidance. Meanwhile, 39% put off or avoid care altogether due to demanding commitments or fear.

Addressing the root cause, Iris embeds behavioral health support into women’s care journeys before mental health concerns escalate.

“Women’s behavioral health needs often surface during the care journeys they’re already navigating, but too often, support comes only after distress has escalated,” said Laura Bauer, Vice President of Solutions at Iris Telehealth. “By integrating behavioral health…[medical] systems can identify needs earlier, support patients and families more completely and make care easier to access when it is most relevant.”

Partnering with health systems, Iris’ program covers everyday support and women’s specific journeys spanning fertility, high-risk pregnancy, postpartum, NICU stays, and menopause. Treatments may include solo and group therapy, medication, family support programming, and same-day interventions as needed.
